The Crown Country Inn near Craven Arms in Shropshire is set below the rolling hills of Wenlock Edge in the Vale of the River Corve. The Crown is a Grade II listed Tudor Inn - it was once a "Hundred House" where the courts of latter day passed their judgement. Many of its original features are still in place, such as great oak beams, flagstone floors and the large Inglenook fireplace that is the central feature of the main bar area. Their restaurant menus offer a tempting variety of traditional and more exotic fare. In addition to the ala carte menu, there is always an ever changing selection of "daily specials", so you are always guaranteed to find something to tempt your palate. The Corvedale Restaurant is open Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime. At other times tables are available in the bar area and the Bay Restaurant. Regular Gourmet Evenings and a monthly Pudding Club are held at the Crown which offers a considerable dining experience.
