Named after Darwin, one of Lichfield's most famous sons and a self professed lover of fine food, Darwin's restaurant offers delicious modern British food in a relaxed setting each evening from 6pm. Now accepting the tastecard, members calling in advance can enjoy everything on the eclectic menu at an excellent price. Although located within a historic building in the centre of Lichfield, Darwin's has a contemporary feel with a stylish decor, stripped natural flooring and ambient lighting making it perfect for an evening of good food and wine. Head Chef Gary Jones has created a fabulous selection of mouth-watering innovative dishes for Darwin?s, using seasonal local produce wherever possible. The menu is inspired by British classics yet features a wealth of wondrous European style delights. Outstanding examples of the indulgences served includes the sumptuous wild mushroom & prosecco risotto, complete with a baby cress salad, and the heavenly chargrilled swordfish steak, paired with a salad nicoise.
